Poe Photographer furries well-dressed manLate 1840s quarter plate dag of a Virginia man, by the photographer William Abbott Pratt, who was famously known for having photographed writer Edgar Allan Poe in his Richmond studio. Dag has a tarnish ring and small scattered mold spiders but no abrasions or other damage noted. It has been resealed with archival tape, with bits of the original seals inside.
