In 1997, Arsenal explored the possibility of moving stadiums, after being denied planning permission to expand its current home stadium, Highbury. After careful considerations, the club bought an industrial and waste disposal estate in Ashburton Grove in 2000. Relocation to the new site began in 2002, but due to financial difficulties, work didnt start until
